Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement (Smart Motor)

Removal Procedure




1. Lower the headliner in order to access the sunroof motor/actuator. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the screws securing the sunroof motor/actuator to the module.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the sunroof motor/actuator to the sunroof module.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the sunroof motor/actuator screws.

Tighten the screws to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Verify the sunroof operation.
5. Initialization/Teach the sunroof motor. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (Testing and Inspection).
6. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
