Adjustment Link Replacement

- Tools Required
- J 24319-B Universal Steering Linkage Puller

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the wheel and tire.
3. Remove the adjustment link retaining nut (2).





4. Loosen the inner adjustment link retaining nut.





5. Using J24319-B separate the adjustment link from the lower control arm.
6. Remove the inner adjustment link nut and bolt.
7. Remove the adjustment link assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the adjustment link assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the inner part of the adjustment link assembly to the support.
3. Install the inner adjustment link nut and bolt to the frame support.
Tighten the inner adjustment link nut to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the outer adjustment link to the lower control arm.
5. Install the outer adjustment link retaining nut.
Tighten the nut to 50 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the tire and wheel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Check toe adjustment.
