Navigation Antenna Replacement

NAVIGATION ANTENNA REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear compartment trim on the rear seat.




2. Remove the push-pin fasteners (2, 3) retaining the global position sensor (GPS) antenna (1).

IMPORTANT: Note the position of the antenna on the rear self.




3. Disconnect the GPS antenna cable (2) from the vehicle interface unit (VIU) module.
4. Remove the GPS antenna from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Route the global position sensor (GPS) antenna cable on the rear self using the fasteners on the cable.
2. Install the GPS antenna (1) to the rear self.

IMPORTANT: The antenna (1) must be in the upward position as noted in the removal procedure.




3. Connect the GPS antenna cable (2) to the vehicle interface unit (VIU) module.
4. Install the rear compartment trim.
5. Park the vehicle outside and verify the system is operative.
