Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the right front fascia extension.
3. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.
4. Remove the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.
5. Lower the jack allowing the engine to lower slightly.





6. Remove the three fasteners securing the right engine mount bracket to the engine.
7. Remove the right engine mount bracket stud.
8. Remove the right engine mount bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the right engine mount bracket to the front engine mount stud and engine.
2. Apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent, to the right engine mount bracket bolts.
3. Loosely install the two lower right engine mount bracket bolts.
4. Apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent, to the right engine mount bracket stud.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the right engine mount bracket stud to the engine.
^ Tighten the right engine mount bracket stud to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
6. Install the right engine mount bracket nut to the engine.
^ Tighten the right engine mount bracket fasteners to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
7. Raise the engine into position.





8. Install the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.
^ Tighten the right engine mount nut to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).
9. Remove the engine support jack.
10. Install the right front fascia extension.
11. Lower the vehicle.
