Trailing Arm: Service and Repair
TRAILING ARM REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the bolt and nut from the trailing arm (6) and the knuckle (8).
3. Remove the nut and bolt from the trailing arm (6) and the trailing arm bracket.
4. Remove the trailing arm (6) from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the trailing arm (6) to the trailing arm bracket.
2. Install the bolt and nut to the trailing arm (6) and the trailing arm bracket.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).
3. Install the trailing arm (6) to the knuckle (8).
4. Install the bolt and nut to the trailing arm (6) and the knuckle (8).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 70 N.m + 65 degrees (52 lb ft + 65 degrees).
5. Lower the vehicle.
