Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Rear

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the rear seat cushion and rear seat back.
2. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel.
3. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel.
4. Remove the rear seat retractor side belt anchor bolt.
5. Loosen the rear window trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf in Interior Trim.
6. Remove the rear seat back sound barrier.




7. Remove the rear seat retractor bolt.
8. Remove the rear seat retractor from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear seat retractor in the vehicle.




2. Install the rear seat retractor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to seat the retractor alignment tabs.

Tighten
Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).

3. Install the rear sound barrier.
4. Install the rear window trim panel.
5. Install the rear seat retractor anchor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the rear seat retractor bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

6. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel.
7. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel.
8. Install the rear seat cushion and rear seat back.
