Impact Bar Replacement - Rear Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear bumper energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the rear bumper impact bar at frame bolts.
4. Remove the rear bumper impact bar from the frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear bumper impact bar to the frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the rear bumper impact bar at the frame.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the rear bumper energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Service and Repair) .
