Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.




2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP canister purge valve.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EVAP canister purge valve.
4. Disconnect the purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
5. Release the tab on the purge mounting bracket and remove the EVAP canister purge valve.




6. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the purge bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve to the purge bracket.




2. Connect the vacuum hose to the EVAP canister purge valve.
3. Connect the purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve.
4. Connect the harness connector to the EVAP canister purge valve.
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
