Adjustment Link Replacement

Tools Required
^ J24319-B Universal Steering Linkage Puller

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.





3. Remove the adjustment link retaining nut (2).





4. Remove the inner adjustment link bolt.





5. Using J24319-B separate the adjustment link from the lower control arm.
6. Remove the adjustment link from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the adjustment link to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the adjustment link inner nut and bolt to the support assembly.
Tighten the adjustment link inner nut to 91 Nm (67 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the outer adjustment link to the lower control arm retaining nut.
Tighten the outer adjustment link retaining nut to 50 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the tire and wheel.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Adjust rear toe.
