Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Replacement
Removal ProcedureNotice: Allow sufficient clearance around the transaxle oil cooler pipes and around the hoses to prevent damage or wear which may cause fluid loss.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Position the drain pan.
3. Remove the transaxle oil cooler hose retainer at transaxle.
4. Remove the transaxle oil hose quick connection at transaxle by remove white plastic cover and carefully removing the wire retainer from connector.
5. Remove the transaxle oil cooler hoses from the transaxle oil cooler pipes at the radiator.
6. Remove the transaxle oil cooler hoses.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the transaxle oil cooler hose wire retainers to the connectors.
2. Push connectors into transaxle coupling.
3. Push white protector back over the connector.
4. Install the transaxle oil cooler hoses to the transaxle oil cooler or the quick connect transaxle oil cooler pipes to the radiator.
5. Install the transaxle oil cooler retainer to the transaxle.
6. Lower the vehicle.
Notice: Do NOT overfill the transaxle. The overfilling of the transaxle causes foaming, loss of fluid, shift complaints, and possible damage to the transaxle.
7. Adjust the fluid level. Refer to Specifications.
8. Inspect for fluid leaks.
