REMOVAL PROCEDURECAUTION: The seat belt assembly and/or bracket assembly must be replaced as a unit only. Do not substitute parts for any reason, or personal injury could result.
1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove the seat side air bag.
3. Remove the head restraint.
4. Remove the seat trim panels (11,12).
5. Remove the seat back cover and pad.
6. Remove the upper retractor access door.
7. Remove the upper retractor retaining bolt.
8. Feed retractor through the seat back cover and pad opening.
9. Remove the lower lap belt retractor assembly nut.
10. Remove lower lap belt retractor assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Route the upper retractor assembly through the seat back cover and pad opening.
2. Install the shoulder belt retractor.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the shoulder belt retractor nut.
Tighten
Tighten the shoulder belt retractor nut to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
4. Install the lower lap belt retractor assembly.
5. Install the lap belt retractor nut.
Tighten
Tighten the lap belt retractor nut to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. Install the upper retractor access door.
7. Install the seat back cover and pad.
8. Install the seat trim panels (11,12).
9. Install the head restraint.
10. Install the seat side air bag.
11. Install the seat.
