Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) VACUUM CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses (4) from the vacuum control solenoid (3).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the vacuum control solenoid (3).




3. Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the vacuum control solenoid (3) to the mounting bracket.
4. Remove the vacuum control solenoid (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the bolt (2) securing the vacuum control solenoid (3) to the mounting bracket (4).

Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolt to 10 N.m (88 lb in).




2. Connect the vacuum hoses (4) to the vacuum control solenoid (3).
3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the vacuum control solenoid (3).
