Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the right or left IP end cap. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right) orInstrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.




2. Remove the center trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar) in Interior Trim.
3. Disengage the front sill plate retainers by pulling upward.
4. Remove the front sill plate.
5. Remove the weatherstrip.



Installation Procedure





1. Line up the locating mark. Start at the upper corner of the B-pillar.

Important:
* The single red line on the weatherstrip is for the right side of the vehicle.

* The double red line on the weatherstrip is for the left side of the vehicle.



2. Push the weatherstrip onto the pinchweld. Work downward from the corner and continue around the entire opening.
3. Ensure that the weatherstrip is seated around the entire opening.
4. Align the front sill plate to the door opening.
5. Push down on the sill plate retainers in order to engage.
6. Install the center trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar) in Interior Trim.
7. Install the right or left IP end cap. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right) or Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel (IP) - Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Left) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
