Park Brake Cable Replacement-Intermediate

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle and support. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Ensure that the park brake is fully released.





3. Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake connector (1).
4. Disconnect intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1).





5. Disconnect the intermediate cable (3) from the rear equalizer (1).
6. Disconnect the intermediate cable (3) from the right rear park brake cable (5).
7. Disconnect the intermediate cable housing from the rear cable housing retaining bracket.
8. Remove the intermediate cable.

Installation Procedure
1. Route and install the intermediate park cable into brake cable retaining brackets.





2. Connect the left rear park brake cable (2) to the intermediate cable (3), using equalizer (1).
3. Connect the right (5) rear park brake cable to the intermediate park brake cable (3).
4. Insert the intermediate park brake cable into the cable retaining bracket.





5. Insert the intermediate park brake cable (2) into the park brake cable connector (1).
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
