Fuel Pump Resistor Replacement (VIN 1)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the right front fender liner.
2. Remove the washer solvent container.
3. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor pigtail at the wiring harness connector.
4. Remove the fuel pump resistor bolt.
5. Remove the fuel pump resistor.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the fuel pump resistor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Reinstall the fuel pump resistor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump resistor bolt to 3-4 N.m (0.9 lb ft).

3. Connect the fuel pump relay pigtail to the wiring harness connector.
4. Reinstall the washer solvent container.





5. Reinstall the right front fender liner.
