AT Range Selector Cable Replacement (New Cable Installation)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the cable from the transmission.
2. Remove the Closeout/Insulator Panel Left. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
3. Remove the IP Trim Panel Lower. Refer to IP Trim Panel Replacement - Lower in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
4. Remove the cable retaining clip and the cable at the steering column.
5. Remove the cable assembly through the hole in the cowl.


Installation Procedure





1. Properly route the cable. Position the cable.
2. Install the cable and the retaining clip at the steering column.
3. Install the IP trim Panel Lower. Refer to IP Trim Panel Replacement - Lower in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
4. Install the Closeout/Insulator Panel Left. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
5. Install the cable at the transaxle.
6. Adjust the cable. Refer to AT Range Selector Cable Adjustment.
