Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector and hoses from the EVAP purge solenoid.
3. Disconnect the hoses to the EVAP purge solenoid.




4. Bend the tab on the solenoid mounting bracket to remove the EVAP purge solenoid.
5. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Bend the tab on the EVAP purge solenoid mounting bracket to install the EVAP purge solenoid.
2. Install the EVAP purge solenoid.




3. Connect the hoses to the EVAP purge solenoid.
4. Connect the electrical connector to the EVAP purge solenoid.
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
