Wiper Motor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator




1. Remove the wipers.
2. Remove the air inlet grille panel.
3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor assembly crank arm using the J 39232.




4. Remove the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove three screws and the wiper motor from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the wiper motor onto the vehicle with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.




3. Install the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39529. Be sure the socket is fully seated on the ball.
4. Install the air inlet grille panel.
5. Install the wiper arms.
