Caution: The seat belt assembly and/or the bracket assembly must be replaced as a unit only. Do not substitute parts for any reason, or personal injury could result in the event of a collision.

1. Raise the head Restraint to the full up position.
2. Remove the seat assembly.
3. Remove the head Restraint.
4. Remove the outside trim panels (15).
5. Remove the lap belt retractor nut (7).
6. Remove the lap belt retractor (6).




7. Remove the push-in retainer (1) from the lap belt escutcheon.
8. Remove the rear head Restraint trim cover.
9. Remove the seat back trim panel.
10. Remove the front head Restraint trim cover.
11. Feed the front trim cover and the lap belt retractor through the seat back trim cover.





12. Remove the four hex head fasteners (1) from the roller assembly.
13. Remove the roller assembly from the seat.





14. Drill out the two rivets from the intermediate guide (1).
15. Remove the shoulder belt retractor bolt.
16. Remove the shoulder belt retractor.
17. Remove the belt assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the shoulder belt retractor (5).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the shoulder belt retractor bolt (8).

Tighten
Tighten the shoulder belt retractor bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the intermediate guide.
4. Install the two rivets that attach the intermediate guide (1).
5. Install the roller assembly to the seat.





6. Install the tour hex head fasteners (1).

Tighten
Tighten the roller assembly fasteners to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

7. Feed the lap belt retractor and front head Restraint trim cover (1) through the seat back trim cover.
8. Install the front head Restraint trim cover.
9. Install the lap belt retractor to the seat assembly.
10. Install the lap belt retractor nut.

Tighten
Tighten the lap belt retractor nut to 41 N.m (30 lb in).

11. Install the seat back trim cover.
12. Install the rear head Restraint trim cover.





13. Install the lap belt escutcheon (1).
14. Install the outside trim panels (15).
15. Install the head Restraint.
16. Install the seat assembly.
