Brake Warning System Circuit Description

The BRAKE indicator is controlled by the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). To determine when to illuminate the IPC monitors the following inputs:
^ The ignition switch input at terminal A7 (CKT 39, PNK). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or START positions, the IPC to performs a bulb check by briefly illuminating the indicator.
^ The park brake switch input at terminal B14 (CKT 1134, LT BLU). When the park brake is applied, the park brake switch closes and the IPC detects a low (ground) condition at terminal B14 (CKT 1134, LT BLU). If the ignition switch is in RUN, the IPC illuminates the indicator.
^ The brake fluid level switch input at terminal B15 (CKT 1684, ORN/BLK). When the brake fluid level is low, the brake fluid level switch closes and the IPC detects a low (ground) condition at terminal B15 (CKT 1684, ORN/BLK). If the ignition switch is in RUN, the IPC illuminates the indicator.
