Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle.
2. Front Splash shield.
3. Wheel Splash shield.
4. Bolts and retainers.
5. Alternator Frame Brace bolts.
6. Alternator Frame Brace.
7. Connections at gear and pump.
8. Hose.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Hose into place.
2. Connections at gear and pump.
3. Alternator Frame Brace.
4. Alternator Frame Brace bolts.
5. Retainers and bolts.
Tighten:
^ Retainer bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
^ Power steering gear inlet hose to pump, to 27 Nm (20 inch lbs.).
^ Power steering gear inlet hose to steering gear, to 27 Nm (20 inch lbs.).
6. Wheel Splash shield.
7. Front Splash shield.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Fill and bleed system.
^ Inspect for leaks.
