Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

NOTE: The front pipe and catalytic converter is service as an assembly. They are not serviced separately.

REMOVAL
Remove or Disconnect the following components.
1. Oxygen sensor.
2. Support catalytic converter and cut exhaust pipe. Use J 29800.
3. Front exhaust pipe bolts.
4. Seal.
5. Front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly.

INSTALLATION
Install or Connect the following components.
1. Front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly using a "U" bolt type clamp (position clamp so nuts are toward the drivers side of vehicle).
2. Seal.
3. Front exhaust pipe to manifold.
^ Bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
^ Clamp nuts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Oxygen sensor.
