Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Remove or Disconnect the following components.
1. Negative battery cable.
2. A/C compressor splash shield.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Supercharger drive belt.
5. Accessory drive belt.
6. Coil pack position out of the way.
7. Supercharger belt tensioner.
8. Engine support fixture.
9. Engine mount.
10. Power steering pump.
11. Engine mount bracket.
12. Idler pulley.
13. Coolant pump pulley.
14. Coolant pump.

CLEAN
Clean all gasket mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION
Install or Connect the following components.
1. Using a new gasket, install the coolant pump on the engine.
^ Bolts 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
^ Bolts 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
2. Coolant pump pulley.
3. Idler pulley.
4. Engine mount bracket.
5. Power steering pump.
6. Engine mount.
7. Engine support fixture.
8. Supercharger belt tensioner.
9. Coil pack position out of the way.
10. Accessory drive belt.
11. Supercharger drive belt.
12. Fill cooling system.
13. A/C compressor splash shield.
14. Negative battery cable.
15. Check for coolant leaks.
