Thermostat: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Remove or Disconnect the following components.
1. Engine cover.
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Upper radiator hose.
5. Thermostat housing.
6. Thermostat.


CLEAN
Clean gasket mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION
Install or Connect the following components.
1. Thermostat.
2. Thermostat housing.
3. Upper radiator hose.
4. Refill cooling system.
5. Negative battery cable.
6. Engine cover.
7. Start and idle engine to check for leaks.
