Brake Hose/Line: Testing and Inspection

Hydraulic brake hoses should be inspected at least twice a year. Check brake hoses for:
- Road hazard damage.
- Cracks and chafing of outer cover.
- Leaks and blisters.
- Proper routing and mounting.

If you find any of these conditions, adjust or replace the hose. A brake hose which rubs on other components will wear and eventually fail. A light and mirror can be helpful for thorough inspections.
