Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair

Removing/Installing Brake Pedal Assembly:

Installing Brake Pedal Switches:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Left Instrument Panel (I/P) sound insulator.
2. Electrical connectors from switches.
3. Pushrod from pushrod pin.
4. Barrier.
5. Four nuts from booster studs.
6. Brake pedal assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Brake pedal assembly onto booster studs.
2. Nuts.
3. Apply lubricant, GM P/N 9985164 or equivalent to pushrod pin.
4. Pushrod onto pushrod pin. Secure with spacer and retainer. Tighten Nuts to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Barrier onto brake pedal assembly. Align with booster studs.
6. Electrical connectors to switches.
7. Left I/P sound insulator.
