Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (Bpmv) Assembly

The Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) assembly consists of three components: the pump motor assembly, valve block, and a brake fluid reservoir. The brake fluid reservoir is used to supply the BPMV pump motor assembly with brake fluid, the pump motor assembly is used to maintain brake pedal height in ABS and supply brake pressure during TCS. The valve block controls fluid pressure to each individual wheel. When equipped with traction control, the BPMV assembly also houses the isolation valves. During traction control mode, these valves isolate the front hydraulic circuits from the master cylinder and rear brake hydraulic circuits. This allows pressure to be delivered only to the front drive wheels.
