Outer Deflector Ring

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Clamp the axle shaft (14) in a vise.
- Use soft metal or wood to protect the shaft.





2. Deflector ring (22) from C/V outer race (21) with a brass drift and hammer and discard.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Position and square up a new deflector ring (22) at press diameter of C/V outer race (21).





2. Using a fabricated tool consisting of a 3 inch pipe coupling, a sheet metal sleeve and M24 x 1.5 nut, tighten nut until deflector (22) bottoms against shoulder of C/V outer race (21).
