Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Instrument panel access hole covers from instrument panel using a small flat-bladed tool.
2. Screws from each end of the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
3. Screw from lower edge of the right lower instrument panel trim plate.
4. Open instrument panel compartment door.
5. Pull the right lower instrument panel trim plate from the instrument panel.
6. Pull steering column tilt lever and tilt steering column to lowest position.
7. Grasp instrument panel cluster trim plate at right edge, slowly pull and working to the left to release retainer clips.
8. Instrument panel cluster trim plate from instrument panel.

Install or Connect

NOTICE: Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Align instrument panel cluster trim plate to instrument panel
2. Push in instrument panel cluster trim plate at each retainer clip location to lock in.
3. Screws to each end of the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

Tighten
^ Screws to 2 N.m (18 lb.in.).

4. Pull steering column tilt lever and tilt steering column to original position.
5. Align and press in the right lower instrument panel trim plate into the instrument panel.
6. Screw to lower edge of the right lower instrument panel trim plate.

Tighten
^ Screw to 2 N.m (18 lb.in.).

7. Align instrument panel access hole covers to instrument panel and snap into place.
8. Close instrument panel compartment door.
