Strut Replacement

REMOVAL





1. Remove the bolt and the nut from the engine mount strut at the right engine mount strut bracket on the engine.





2. Remove the bolt and the nut from the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine.





3. Remove the bolts and the nuts from the engine mount struts at the engine mount strut brackets on the upper radiator support.
4. Remove the engine mount struts.
5. Inspect the rubber in the engine mount struts for the following conditions:
^ Hardness
^ Splitting
^ Cracking

INSTALLATION
1. Install the engine mount struts.
2. Install the bolts and the nuts to the engine mount struts at the engine mount strut brackets on the upper radiator support. Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the bolt and the nut to the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine. Tighten the nuts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the bolt and the nut to the engine mount strut at the right engine mount strut bracket on the engine. Tighten the nuts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
