J 39500 Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Recharging (ACR4) System
J 37097-A Hose Clamp Pliers
Remove or Disconnect
^ Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
1. Recover refrigerant.
2. Liquid/vapor line connection at evaporator.
3. Heater hoses from heater core (pinch off hose to prevent leaking).
4. Steering column from vehicle.
5. I/P assembly.
6. Defroster duct.
7. Blower control module connection.
8. Heater and A/C module.
Install or Connect
1. Heater and A/C module assembly to vehicle.
2. Nuts A/C module to dash.
Tighten
^ Nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb. in.).
^ Refer to illustration for torque sequence.
3. Blower control module connection.
4. Defroster duct.
5. I/P assembly.
6. Steering column.
7. Heater hoses to heater core.
8. Liquid/vapor line connection to evaporator.
9. Evacuate, charge and leak test the A/C system.
^ Enable SIR system.
