Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Negative cable at the battery.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Drive belt.
4. Water pump pulley bolts.
5. Water pump. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION
1. Using a new gasket, install the water pump on the engine.
^ Long Bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
^ Short Bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
2. Water pump pulley bolts.
3. Drive belt.
4. Fill the cooling system.
5. Connect the battery, then start the engine.
6. Check for coolant leaks
