Part 1

LOCK HOUSING COVER, COVER END CAP, PIVOT & SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH ROD ACTUATOR & TILT SPRING

DISASSEMBLE
1. Remove lock housing cover attaching screws and cover, then the tilt lever.
2. Remove cover housing end cap and the dimmer switch rod actuator.
3. On models with cruise control, unplug cruise control connector and remove multi-function lever.
4. On all models, gently pull pivot switch wiring harness through column housing and gear shift lever bowl.
5. Remove pivot pin, then the pivot and switch assembly.
6. Remove pivot and pulse switch.
7. Remove spring retainer, then the spring and spring guide.

ASSEMBLE
1. Coat spring guide and spring with lithium grease and install, then install spring retainer.
2. Install pivot and switch assembly, then the pivot pin.
3. Attach actuator pivot pin to pivot and pulse switch, and lock housing cover.
4. Route pivot and pulse switch assembly wiring harness through gear shift lever bowl and column housing.
5. Install dimmer switch rod actuator, then the gear shift lever bowl, ensuring bottom edge of dimmer switch rod actuator rests on bend in dimmer switch rod.
6. Install cover housing end cap.
7. On models with cruise control, plug in cruise control connector and install multi-function lever.
8. On all models, install lock housing cover. Starting at the 12 o'clock position, tighten screws in counterclockwise direction, then torque screws in same order to 80 lb in
