Blower Motor: Description and Operation

The blower consists of a permanent magnet type motor and "squirrel cage" type fan, which operates at various speeds depending on the mode and temperature selected by the driver. The motor is cooled by having a small portion of blower output air recirculated through the motor housing via a rubber tube.

The blower is located at the left end of the HVAC blower module near the center of the vehicle.
