Forced Entry

Symptom/Diagnosis Guide:




NOTE: Forced Entry System (UA6) allows a Tech 1 to activate/monitor the following theft-related output and inputs.

INPUTS:
^ LH/RH front door lock cylinder switch input - if Tech 1 indicates inoperative switch, do Remote Accessory Control (RAC) Module Input/Output Test I and check RAC module connector C3 terminal A. Test I: Remote Accessory Control Module Input/Output Test
^ Tamper switch input it Tech 1 indicates a closed tamper switch, do Tamper Switch Test H. Test H: Tamper Switch Test

OUTPUTS:
^ Headlamps alarm output - if inoperative, do Remote Accessory Control (RAC) Module Input/Output Test I, check RAC module connector C3 terminal G.
^ Horn alarm output - if inoperative, do Remote Accessory Control (RAC) Module Input/Output Test I, check RAC module connector C3 terminal H.
^ SECURITY indicator control output - if inoperative, do Remote Accessory Control (RAC) Module Input/Output Test I, check RAC module connector C3 terminal C.
^ If Ignition key requires replacement, see 3. Service and Repair

NOTE: It interior lamps do not operate when the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter unlock button is pressed, refer to Interior Lamps for diagnosis before continuing with Theft Deterrent System: Forced Entry (UA6) diagnosis.
