Intake Manifold Complete

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Fuel injector sight shield and air intake duct.

Spark Plug Wiring Harness (Front):

Spark Plug Wiring Harness (Rear):

3. Spark plug wires on right side of engine and set aside.
4. Fuel rail.
5. Exhaust crossover heat shield.

Cable Bracket To Throttle Body:

6. Cable bracket to cylinder head mounting bolt.
7. Power steering pump support bracket.
8. Loosen generator and move to obtain clearance.

Ignition Coils And Ignition Control Module Assembly:

9. Generator bracket.
10. Heater pipes.
11. Bypass hose.

Throttle Body To Intake Manifold:

12. Intake manifold bolts and manifold.

IMPORTANT: To complete installation, observe the following assembly tips.
^ Clean the cylinder block, heads and intake manifold sealing surface of all oil with a suitable solvent.
^ Apply sealer GM P/N 12345336 or equivalent to the ends of the manifold seals.
^ Clean the intake manifold bolts and bolt holes of adhesive compound.
^ Apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent to the intake manifold bolt threads before assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

Throttle Body To Intake Manifold:

1. Intake manifold







TIGHTEN
- Manifold bolts twice to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.) following the sequence.

2. Bypass hose.
3. Heater pipes.

Ignition Coils And Ignition Control Module Assembly:

4. Generator bracket.
5. Generator.
6. Power steering pump support bracket.

Cable Bracket To Throttle Body:

7. Cable bracket to cylinder head mounting bolt.
8. Exhaust crossover heat shield.
9. Fuel rail.

10. Spark plug wires.
11. Fuel injector sight shield and air intake duct.
12. Negative battery cable.
