Radiator: Service and Repair
RADIATORRemove or Disconnect
1. Drain engine coolant.
2. Cooling fan electrical connector.
3. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
4. Lower radiator hose from radiator.
5. Lower cooling fan bolts.
6. Lower vehicle.
7. Upper radiator hose from thermostat housing.
8. Upper cooling fan bolts.
9. Engine cooling fan.
10. Engine mount strut from radiator upper mounting panel.
11. Engine mount strut bracket from radiator upper mounting panel.
12. Radiator upper mounting panel screws and panel.
13. Coolant recovery hose from radiator neck.
14. Transaxle oil cooler lines from radiator.
15. Radiator.
Install or Connect
1. Radiator.
2. Transaxle oil cooler lines to radiator.
3. Coolant recovery hose to radiator.
4. Radiator upper mounting panel and screws.
Tighten Bolts/screws to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).
5. Engine mount strut bracket to radiator upper mounting panel.
Tighten Engine mount strut bracket bolt/screw to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft.).
6. Engine mount strut to radiator upper mounting panel.
Tighten Engine mount strut nut to 53 N.m (39 lb. ft.)
7. Cooling fan assembly and upper bolts.
Tighten Fan bolts/screws to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).
8. Upper radiator hose to thermostat housing.
9. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
10. Lower cooling fan bolts.
Tighten Fan bolts/screws to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).
11. Lower radiator hose to radiator.
12. Lower vehicle.
13. Cooling fan electrical connector.
14. Top off radiator with 50/50 ethylene coolant mixture.
Inspect
^ For coolant leaks.
