Power Steering Gear (1 Of 2):

Power Steering Gear Legend (2 Of 2):

Remove or Disconnect

1. Rack and pinion steering assembly from vehicle.
2. Cylinder lines (2) or (12) from rack and pinion housing (16).
3. O-ring seals (15) from cylinder lines (2) or (12).

Install or Connect

1. Lubricate O-ring seals (15) with power steering fluid.
2. O-ring seals (15) to cylinder lines (2) or (12).
3. Cylinder lines (2) or (12) to rack and pinion housing (16).

Tighten
^ Fittings at the valve end to 18 N.m (14 lb. ft.).
^ Fittings at the cylinder end to 28 N.m (20 lb. ft.).

4. Rack and pinion assembly into vehicle.
