Starter Motor - Removal - 2.3L

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air induction tube as necessary.
3. Disconnect coolant fan connector and remove coolant fan.
4. Remove oil filter.
5. Remove starter bolts and pull starter motor towards the passenger side of vehicle.
6. Disconnect electrical connections and remove starter by lifting out between intake manifold and radiator.

Installation


1. Lower starter between intake manifold and radiator.
2. Connect electrical connections to starter.
3. Connect starter to block.
4. Install oil filter.
5. Install coolant fan and connector.
6. Install air induction tube.
7. Install negative battery cable.,
8. Refill engine oil as necessary and check for leaks.
