Installation

Crankshaft Balancer:

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coat front cover seal contact area (on balancer) and seal surface with engine oil.
2. Balancer.

Holding Flywheel:

3. Balancer retaining bolt, with assistant to keep flywheel from turning using tool J 37096 or equivalent.
- Tighten Bolt to 150 Nm (110 lbs. ft.) + 76°, using J 36660 or equivalent.
4. Flywheel cover
- Tighten Bolt to 6 Nm (53 lbs. in.).
5. Inner fender splash shield.
6. Right front tire and wheel.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. Serpentine drive belt.
9. Negative battery cable.
- Tighten bolt to 15 Nm (11 lbs. ft.).
