TRAILER HITCH INSTALLATION DIFFICULTY (INSTALL SHORTER ENERGY ABSORBER AND SPACER)

MODELS:
1993 BUICK PARK AVENUE/PARK AVENUE ULTRA
1993 OLDSMOBILE NINETY EIGHT

Condition:

Some vehicles may not allow installation of a trailer hitch.

Cause:

The energy absorber was lengthened and a spacer eliminated. The trailer hitch mounts in place of the spacer. The shorter energy absorber with a spacer was returned to production and has been used since December, 1992, correcting this condition.

Correction:

Replace the existing parts with the following parts to allow trailer hitch installation.
