Fuel Injector(s) Replacement

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

REMOVAL:

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.

CAUTION: Use care when removing the injectors to prevent damage to the electrical connector pins on the injector and the spray nozzle. The fuel injector is serviced as a complete unit only. The fuel injector is an electrical component and should Not be immersed in any type of cleaner.

2. Disconnect the electrical connections.
3. Remove the fuel rail, refer to FUEL RAIL.
4. Remove the injector retaining clips.
5. Remove the injectors.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the injectors using new O-rings. Coat the new O-rings with clean engine oil.
2. Install the injector retaining clips.
3. Install the fuel rail.
4. Connect the electrical connectors.
5. START the engine and check for fuel leaks.
