MODELS AFFECTED:
1991 REGALS WITH 3800 V6 ENGINE (VIN CODE L)

The following procedure has been revised from the 1991 Regal Service Manual.
POWER STEERING PRESSURE PIPE
Remove or Disconnect
1. Coolant recovery tank, refer to Cooling And Radiator (Section 6B) in the 1991 Regal Service Manual.
2. ECM cover.
3. Serpentine belt, refer to 3800 Engine V6 VIN Code L (Section 6A7) in the 1991 Regal Service Manual.
4. Power steering pressure line at pump.
- Catch Oil in drain pan.
5. Power steering pressure line at steering gear.
- The pressure pipe is the lower line at the steering gear.
- Use a 18 mm crow's foot line wrench with a 2 foot, 3/8 inch drive extension.
- Access line from engine compartment, between the rocker arm cover and front of dash mat.
6. Raise vehicle and suitably support. Refer to General Information (Section 0A).
7. Steering gear heat shield.
8. Power steering gear line clamps at steering gear.
9. Power steering pressure line from vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. Power steering pressure line into vehicle.
2. Power steering gear line clamp at steering gear.
3. Steering gear heat shield.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Power steering pressure line at steering gear.
- Use a 18 mm crow's foot line wrench with a 2 foot, 3/8 inch drive extension.
6. Power steering pressure line at pump.
7. Serpentine belt, refer to 3800 Engine V6 VIN Code L (Section 6A7) in the 1991 Regal Service Manual.
8. ECM cover.
