Right Side (Rear)

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Exhaust pipe at crossover.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Coolant recovery reservoir.
6. Torque struts at engine.
7. Rotate engine. Refer to "Rotating Engine".
8. Air cleaner and breather.
9. Heatshield.
10. Crossover at manifold.
11. Accelerator and T.V. cables.
12. Accelerator and T.V. cable bracket at plenum.
13. Manifold bolts.
14. Exhaust manifold from head.

CLEAN
^ Mating surfaces at cylinder head and manifold.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Exhaust manifold gasket.
2. Exhaust manifold to head.
3. Loosely install manifold bolts.
4. Crossover at manifold.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.).
5. Exhaust manifold bolts.
Tighten
^ Exhaust manifold bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lb.)
6. Accelerator and T.V. cable bracket at plenum.
7. Accelerator and T.V. cables.
8. Air cleaner and breather.
9. Return engine to proper position.
10. Coolant recovery reservoir.
11. Torque struts.
Tighten
^ Bolts and nuts to 56 Nm (41 ft. lb.).
12. Raise vehicle.
13. Exhaust pipe to crossover.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.).
14. Lower vehicle.
15. Negative battery cable.

INSPECT
^ Exhaust leaks
^ Completion or repair
