Rocker Arm Cover - Right

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Vacuum hoses at plenum.
4. Airflow tube.
5. EGR tube at crossover pipe.
6. Ignition wire guide.
7. Ignition wire harness at plenum and at plugs.
8. Coolant hoses at throttle base.
9. Necessary electrical wiring from plenum.
10. Throttle, T.V., and cruise cables.
11. Bracket at right side of plenum.
12. Brake booster vacuum supply at plenum.
13. Serpentine belt cover and belt.
14. Coolant recovery bottle.
15. Exhaust pipe at crossover.
16. Torque struts at engine.
17. Rotate engine.
18. Alternator and support aside.
19. PCV valve from Valve cover.
20. Valve cover.

CAUTION If cover adheres to cylinder head, shear off by bumping end of rocker arm cover with palm of hand or soft rubber mallet.

CLEAN
^ Sealing surface on cylinder head and valve cover with degreaser.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New gasket and new bolt grommets.
^ Make sure gasket is seated properly in Valve cover groove.
2. Sealer (p/n# 1052917) in notch .
3. Rocker arm cover.
Tighten
^ Cover bolts to 10 Nm (90 in. lb.).
4. PCV valve to Valve cover.
5. Alternator.
6. Return engine to proper position.
7. Torque struts to engine.
8. Exhaust pipe at crossover.
9. Coolant recovery bottle.
10. Serpentine belt and belt cover.
11. Brake booster vacuum supply line to plenum.
12. Bracket to right side of plenum.
13. Throttle, T.V., and cruise cables.
14. Necessary electrical wiring to plenum.
15. Coolant hoses to throttle base.
16. Ignition wire harness.
17. Ignition wire guide.
18. EGR tube at crossover pipe.
19. Airflow tube.
20. Vacuum hoses to plenum.
21. Fill cooling system.
22. Negative battery cable.

INSPECT
^ Proper fluid levels.
^ Leaks.
^ Completion of repair.
