Thermostat: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner assembly
2. Negative battery cable
3. Engine coolant, partially
4. Radiator hose from water outlet
5. Water outlet attaching bolts
6. Water outlet
7. Thermostat

CLEAN
^ Inlet manifold mating surfaces
^ Water outlet mating surfaces

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Thermostat
2. Water outlet to inlet manifold
3. Attaching bolts with sealer
Tighten
^ Bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
4. Engine coolant

Note To properly fill the system requires the use of the air bleed vents.

5. Radiator hose to water outlet
6. Negative battery cable
7. Air cleaner assembly
