Ignition Switch

WARNING Before preforming this procedure, disarm airbag as outlined under Airbag Arming and Disarming. Failure to do so may result in accidental deployment of airbag, possibly causing personal injury.

Steering Wheel And Horn Pad:

Ignition Switches And Column Wiring:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
The ignition switch is hardwired. The wiring harness with the column harness connector must be replaced with the ignition switch. DO NOT splice the new switch to the existing column wiring harness.

1. Left hand sound insulator.
2. Instrument panel steering column cover.
3. Ignition switch wire protector.
4. Screws holding switch to column.
5. Ignition and turn signal switch column harness connectors from dash connector.
6. Turn signal switch harness connector from column harness connector.
7. Ignition switch assembly, including switch, harness, and connector.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition switch.
2. Screws holding switch to column.
3. Turn signal switch harness connector to ignition switch connector.
4. Ignition and turn signal switch harness connectors to dash connector.
5. Ignition switch wire protector.
6. Instrument panel steering column cover.
7. Left hand sound insulator.
