CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:

Code B332 will set if communication between the compass and the BCM is lost. If the code B332 is set, an "ELECTRICAL PROBLEM" message will be displayed and the compass will display the last direction indicated until compass communication resumes.

TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. Checks to see if other data line components are experiencing communications problems.

2. Checks status of data line at compass module. Normal data line voltage is between 0.1 and 4.5 volts.

NOTE ON INTERMITTENTS:

If an intermittent code B332 is being stored, manipulate the related wiring at the compass module and up to splice. An "ELECTRICAL PROBLEM" message indicates a loss of data and may help locate the fault.
