RATTLE FROM FRONT ENGINE MOUNT (REVISED MOUNT)


MODELS AFFECTED:
1988-1989 SKYLARK WITH 2.3L ENGINE (VIN D)


A small number of 1988 and some early built 1989 Skylark models equipped with a 2.3L engine may exhibit a rattle in the front engine mount during engine start up and/or shut off. (Typically most noticeable when the engine is shut off.) A revised mount (under the existing part number 22538994) is currently available from GMSPO to address this condition. The revised mount, although identical in appearance can be identified by a daub of pink paint on the mount top.
