SUBJECT: ENGINE BLOCK HEATER ACCESSORY PACKAGE INSTALLATION

MODELS AFFECTED: 1988 SKYLARKS WITH 2.3L QUAD 4 ENGINES (VIN CODE D)

Prior to installing an engine block heater accessory package (Part Number 12340074) on a 1988 Skylark equipped with a Quad 4 engine, it will be necessary to install a new radiator outlet pipe assembly designed to accommodate the heater. This outlet pipe is not included with the engine block heater package and must be ordered separately. The outlet pipe can be obtained from GMSPO by ordering Part Number 22535812 (automatic transaxle) or 22535813 (manual transaxle).
